Review of Courage by Molly Evangeline

As soon as I posted my review of Truth, I sent a request for a review copy of the next book. Courage picks up a year after the events of Book One. Having returned to her village in Zirtan’s realm, Makilien has been turned into a social outcast as she proclaims Elohim’s truth to all who will listen. She has secretly led some in her village to the light and her friend, Aedan has joined her in her mission. But when a man tied to one of her past actions comes looking for vengeance, Makilien is rescued by the friends that she made on her journey and she is forced to flee with Aedan and her family to Eldor.

This book doesn’t focus so much on Makilien. It seems to place equal emphasis on Aedan and the half-elf, Sirion. I like the characters and love the fact that the hero of this book is different than the first one. We see a take on the mortal wounding of the Antichrist and I’m looking forward to seeing how she comes back to that in the next book. We also end on a cliffhanger. There’s also a Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker-esque relationship between two characters that worked really well.

As with the first book, I was given a free copy for an honest review.
